CCTV tower hire for events and temporary sites.
Published 27 August 2026
An outdoor event has a security problem that's genuinely different from a permanent site: it exists for days or weeks, on a field or car park with no fixed power or network, and then it's gone. Permanent CCTV infrastructure doesn't make sense for something that temporary — but that doesn't mean the site doesn't need proper coverage while it's live.
Where this comes up
Outdoor shows and festivals, county and agricultural shows, temporary car parking for an event, show grounds and exhibition sites, and off-season holiday or caravan parks all share the same shape of problem: a site that's only active for a defined period, usually with no existing power or broadband run to wherever the coverage is actually needed.
Why a rapid-deployment tower suits this better than fixed CCTV
- No power or network infrastructure needed — solar and battery powered, so it works on an open field exactly as well as a car park.
- Goes up and comes down with the event — no fixed installation left behind, and nothing to remove or make good afterwards.
- Live within 48 hours — useful when event security planning firms up later than the rest of the logistics.
- No minimum hire tie-in — pay for the event's actual duration, not a standard multi-week minimum that doesn't match a three-day show.
Matching coverage to the event
A car park or entrance area benefits from a platform with full camera coverage and, where useful, number-plate capture on the way in and out. A quieter overnight compound — plant, generators, temporary structures left on site between event days — is often better served by a motion-sensor platform with an audible alert, since the goal there is mainly deterring anyone who wouldn't otherwise be on site overnight.
