Remote compounds

CCTV tower hire for remote compounds.

Sites with no mains power for miles still need proper security — a fully solar-powered tower covers the compound with no dependency on infrastructure that isn't there.

The risk on a remote site

Isolated sites are easy targets, precisely because nobody's watching.

A compound with no nearby residents, no passing traffic and no existing infrastructure is an easier target than one in plain sight — and the same isolation that creates the risk usually rules out a fixed CCTV install. Solar and battery power sidestep that entirely.

Suggested platform

Vigil 1000 — twin solar panels, extended autonomy.

The Vigil 1000's twin solar panels and long-life batteries are built for exactly this: long, unattended deployments with no access to mains power. Smaller or shorter-term remote sites can suit the Vigil 600 or Vigil 700 instead — tell us the site and how long it needs covering and we'll recommend accordingly.

Common questions

Remote compound CCTV FAQs.

How remote can the site be?

The tower runs on solar or battery power and connects over 4G, so it can operate wherever there's a usable mobile signal — even with no mains power for miles.

Can it run unattended for weeks at a time?

Yes — full solar deployments are designed for exactly this, with battery capacity sized to the site so detection and recording keep running through extended unattended periods.

What happens if the mobile signal is weak on site?

Footage and detection events keep recording locally on the camera regardless of connectivity, so a temporary drop in signal doesn't mean lost coverage — remote access simply resumes once the connection is back.
